In a lockdown, the class can't leave the room, even to use the bathroom. The Guardian Classroom Lockdown Kit is the sanitation-first answer for a class of 30: a 5-gallon bucket with a toilet seat lid, and the supplies to use it, packed inside.

Toilet bags with chemicals, toilet paper, 100 wet wipes and hand sanitizer cover hygiene, 10 purification tablets come with 10 hydration bags, and a 37-piece bandage kit handles minor cuts. It is the base kit for schools that store food and water separately.

Why it works:

  • A bathroom the class can use without leaving: 100 wet wipes, a roll of toilet paper, hand sanitizer, an air freshener and 2 toilet bags with chemicals, all under a lid that is a toilet seat.
  • Water you can purify in the room: 10 water purification tablets, each purifying 1 liter, and 10 1-liter hydration bags with straw, with a 5-year shelf life.
  • First aid for the small stuff: a 37-piece bandage first aid kit with 20 plastic bandages in two sizes, gauze pads, alcohol pads, a butterfly closure and cotton tip applicators, in a reusable case.
  • Light, a tarp and tape: an emergency bright stick, a large tarpaulin and a roll of duct tape.

Who it's built for:

For schools that already stock food and water, it adds sanitation and first aid supplies to each classroom. For districts, it is one sanitation bucket per room, the same in every building.
