The R&B Fabrications Milwaukee Chin Strap is a 14" Nomex helmet strap for firefighters who wear breathing apparatus. It separates and joins again with the face piece on, which lets a firefighter secure the fire helmet after the mask is already in place. The mask or inhalation hose do not interfere with the strap. When the helmet has to come off, it can be removed without removing the face piece, and the whole strap weighs 2 oz.
Why it works:
- Opens and rejoins: The strap is made to come apart and go back together. It separates and joins again when wearing breathing apparatus.
- Works around the mask: The strap is designed for use with a face piece on. A firefighter can secure the fire helmet after a face piece is on, and the mask or inhalation hose do not interfere.
- Helmet off, face piece stays: Taking the helmet off does not mean taking the mask off. The helmet can be removed without removing the face piece.
- A small Nomex strap: The strap is Nomex. It is made of Nomex, measures 14" long and weighs 2 oz.
Who it's built for:
Made for firefighters who wear breathing apparatus and want a chin strap that works with the face piece on. Fire departments and agencies can order it for members across a company.
