The Rothco Operators Tactical Chest Rig is a lightweight alternative to a plate carrier that puts your rifle mags right on your chest, with the pouches already in the box. Three removable open-top kangaroo double rifle mag pouches with drain holes are included (mags not included), and 4 rows of MOLLE plus 3 rows on the shoulder straps take whatever else you carry. Ventilated mesh padding on the fully adjustable straps keeps extended wear comfortable out in the field.

Why it works:

  • Mag storage in the box: Nothing extra is needed to carry rifle mags, because 3 removable open-top kangaroo double rifle mag pouches come with the rig, though the mags themselves are not included.
  • Expand without a carrier: Four rows of MOLLE on the rig and 3 rows on the shoulder straps hold additional accessories and gear.
  • Holster and documents inside: An inner pocket with a hook and loop patch fits pistol holsters, an interior document pocket closes with hook and loop, and a padded mesh pocket measures 9" x 6".
  • Comfortable over long stretches: Fully adjustable shoulder straps with ventilated mesh padding accommodate most users and carry D-rings for hydration systems.
  • Fast to put on and take off: Two swivel push-button release buckles, two side release buckles and a quick-release waist cinch strap make mounting and removal easy, in 600D polyester or 1000D Cordura nylon for MultiCam.

Who it's built for:

It suits the user who wants a lightweight alternative to a plate carrier with rifle mag pouches already included.
