The Mayday 2400 Calorie Food Bar case of 24 is for buyers who want a larger ration in every bar, whether the case rides on a boat, in a vehicle or on a home shelf. Each apple cinnamon bar is 2400 calories in 6 servings of 400. The bars are approved by the U.S. Coast Guard as well as the Canadian Transport Department, keep a 5-year shelf life and are eaten without preparation.

Why it works:

  • A larger ration per bar: Each bar packs 2400 calories in 6 servings of 400, so fewer packages hold more servings. The case holds 24 bars.
  • Suited to boat and vehicle kits: Approved by the U.S. Coast Guard as well as the Canadian Transport Department, and can be stored outside up to 149°F.
  • No stove or galley needed: The bars can be eaten without preparation, which keeps a boat, car or home kit simple.
  • Long, predictable storage: A 5-year shelf life in a familiar apple cinnamon flavor, baked under strict supervision.

Who it's built for:

Built for households stocking a home reserve and for boat and vehicle owners who want Coast Guard approved rations aboard.

In the case

  • 24 x Mayday 2400 calorie food bar (apple cinnamon)
  • Two-Day Individual Supply Ideal for anyone provisioning per person rather than per meal. One bar covers two days at six servings, so a household of four is eight bars for four days and the arithmetic ends there.
  • Boat and Vessel Rations For owners meeting maritime survival requirements. Coast Guard and Canadian Transport approval is what allows these to count toward a vessel's required provisions.
  • Hurricane Season Household Stock Suited to coastal families preparing before a season rather than before a storm. Five-year shelf life covers five seasons from one purchase, with no rotation in between.
  • Vehicle and Boat Storage For anyone caching food where the temperature swings hard. The bars hold from twenty-two below to a hundred forty-nine degrees, so a cabin or a hull is a viable place to keep them.
  • Office and Fleet Provisioning For managers stocking vehicles or a workplace against a two-day disruption. Thirty-one pounds a case, no preparation, no cooking, and nothing that needs power to be edible.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a good bar for a boat's emergency kit?▸

It is a strong fit. The bars are approved by the U.S. Coast Guard as well as the Canadian Transport Department, and they need no preparation, so there is nothing to cook aboard.

How much heat can the case take in a parked car or boat locker?▸

The bars can be stored outside up to 149°F. Keep the case where temperatures stay at or below that mark.

Should I choose the 2400 calorie case of 24 or the 3600 calorie case of 20?▸

Pick the 2400 calorie case for 24 bars of 6 servings of 400 each. Pick the 3600 calorie case for 20 larger bars of 9 servings of 400 each. Both are apple cinnamon with a 5-year shelf life, the same U.S. Coast Guard and Canadian Transport Department approval, and storage outside up to 149°F.

Can an agency order 2400 calorie bar cases with a purchase order?▸

Yes. Luminary Global is an SDVOSB and WOSB. We accept purchase orders and GPC for agency and department orders, and offer volume quotes.
