The Mayday Deluxe Emergency Bucket Survival Kit (4-Person) is the household kit for a family of four that plans to stay home when the neighborhood loses services. Inside one 5-gallon Honey Bucket are 4 x 2400 calorie food bars and 24 pouches of water, with personal gear for each family member and a shared set of tools.

The bucket and lid double as a toilet seat, so the carrier serves sanitation too. It is assembled in the USA.

Why it works:

  • Food and water for four in a single container: 4 x 2400 calorie food bars and 24 pouches of water travel with water purification tablets in one lidded bucket.
  • A set for every family member: 4 solar blankets, 4 ponchos and 4 dust masks give each person their own protection.
  • Household sanitation in the bucket: The Honey Bucket doubles as a toilet seat with its lid, and a 12-pack of liners, T-5 chemical toilet disinfectant and 6 wet naps are included.
  • One shared toolkit for the house: A gas and water shut off tool, 15" pry bar, utility knife, duct tape and leather palm gloves handle the hands-on jobs.
  • Light, signal and first aid together: The Dynamo flashlight/radio, a light stick, waterproof matches, a 5-in-1 whistle and a 54-piece first aid kit round out the bucket.

Who it's built for:

Families of four and four-person households preparing to shelter in place. Offices and schools that want one bucket per group of four staff or students.

  • Families of Four Ideal for parents who want one container instead of a checklist. Four rations, twenty-four water pouches, four blankets, and four ponchos are counted out per person, so nothing is rationed by guess.
  • Shelter-in-Place Households For families ordered to stay put while services are down. The lid turns the bucket into a toilet with liners and disinfectant, which is what makes three days at home tolerable rather than merely survivable.
  • Post-Earthquake Home Response For homeowners facing a gas leak and a jammed door before any responder arrives. The shut-off tool and pry bar cover both jobs in the first ten minutes.
  • Family Vehicle and Garage Storage For households keeping readiness where they can reach it. Twenty-three pounds fits a trunk or a garage shelf and needs nothing until the shelf life runs out.
