The Mayday Deluxe Emergency Bucket Kit 2 Person gives a couple or a two-person household one place to turn when you decide to stay home together through an outage or a storm. A single 5-gallon Honey Bucket carries 2 x 2400 calorie food bars and 12 pouches of water, with the light, tools and sanitation gear to match.

Once it is unpacked, the bucket and lid double as a toilet seat. The kit is assembled in the USA.

Why it works:

  • Food and water for two in one bucket: 2 x 2400 calorie food bars and 12 pouches of water are packed with water purification tablets in one lidded container.
  • Personal gear for each of you: 2 solar blankets, 2 ponchos and 2 dust masks mean neither person goes without, plus leather palm gloves.
  • Sanitation that shares the container: The Honey Bucket doubles as a toilet seat with its lid, backed by a 12-pack of liners, T-5 chemical toilet disinfectant and 6 wet naps.
  • Shared light, signal and tools: A Dynamo flashlight/radio, light stick, waterproof matches and 5-in-1 whistle sit beside a gas and water shut off tool, 15" pry bar, utility knife and duct tape.
  • First aid on hand: A 54-piece first aid kit is packed with the rest of the gear.

Who it's built for:

Couples, roommates and two-person households sheltering in place together. Offices and schools staffing a room or a front desk with two people.

  • Couples and Two-Person Households For partners who want one container rather than two competing plans. Twelve water pouches and two rations are portioned for both, so nothing gets divided badly under stress.
  • Retired and Empty-Nest Homes Ideal for couples who intend to shelter in place rather than evacuate. The toilet lid and disinfectant handle the sanitation failure that forces people out of a house they could otherwise stay in.
  • Second Home and Cabin Storage For owners of a property they occupy occasionally. Five-year shelf life means the bucket waits without maintenance until the trip when it matters.
  • Two-Person Vehicle Travel For couples driving long distances through open country. Sixteen pounds sits behind a seat and covers three days if the road closes behind you.
