The Rothco Folding Shovel is a steel folding shovel with a wood handle, sized to ride in a vehicle, a rucksack or a bug out bag until the ground has to move. When a campsite needs a trench or a path needs clearing, it opens to 23 7/8" for leverage and digging power. Folded, it closes to 16 1/8" and slips back into tight storage.

Why it works:

  • Leverage when it opens: Opened to 23 7/8" x 5 3/4", it gives you the leverage to dig trenches and clear paths.
  • Packs down between jobs: It folds to 16 1/8" x 5 3/4", compact enough for small spaces in a pack or vehicle.
  • Steel where it meets the ground: The shovel body is steel, built for demanding digging in rugged outdoor conditions.
  • A sturdy wood grip: The wood handle pairs with the steel body for a tool made to stand up to heavy use.

Who it's built for:

For drivers, campers and hikers, it is a folding digging tool that stays in the vehicle or pack until a trench or a cleared path calls for it.

glad I had the opportunity to order from you

I lost my original Army tool so this replaces what I lost.

Wish it was bigger and similar/identical to the old Army shovel. Not sure why no one can offer a similar size product. I’ve yet to use your product
