The Rothco Heavy Weight Folding Pick & Shovel is a folding pick and shovel combination for roots, ice and packed soil. When a campsite sits on hard ground, the 6.5" pick breaks it up and the serrated edge on the shovel cuts through roots and dense soil. The shovel folds and adjusts to a 90-degree angle, and the no-slip rubber grip holds in wet or muddy conditions.

Why it works:

  • Break up what blocks the blade: The 6.5" folding pick takes on ice and other hard materials before you start to dig.
  • Cut roots as you go: The serrated edge on the shovel cuts through roots and dense soil.
  • A working angle for hard ground: The shovel adjusts to a 90-degree angle for digging and separating hard materials.
  • Secure hold in mud: The ergonomic no-slip rubber grip stays secure and comfortable in wet or muddy conditions.
  • Carbon steel for years of use: Black carbon steel and aluminum alloy construction is made for heavy use, in a 19.25" overall length.

Who it's built for:

For campers and hikers working tough terrain, it pairs a pick and a serrated shovel in one folding tool.

  • Pick: 6.5" folding pick
