Quick Overview

This self-adhering cohesive bandage is used as a secondary wrap to secure dressings, splints, and other first aid items without sticking to skin or hair. It also provides reliable compression and support for soft tissue injuries like sprains and strains.

Field Application Steps

  1. Apply a sterile primary dressing to any open wound before wrapping.
  2. Anchor the wrap below the injury and wrap towards the heart, overlapping each layer by 50%.
  3. Apply firm, even tension for compression, or just enough tension to secure a dressing or splint.
  4. Tear or cut the wrap and press the end firmly against the underlying layer to secure the bond.
  5. After application, immediately check for good circulation, sensation, and movement in the fingers or toes.
  6. Loosen or remove immediately if signs of poor circulation (numbness, tingling, pale skin) appear.
