Quick Overview

This product is a specialized, low-profile rope bag designed for Rapid Intervention Teams (RIT) to carry a thin-diameter search line in confined urban structures. Its compact size reduces snag hazards, while the dual quick-release shoulder strap provides an emergency jettison capability to enhance firefighter safety and mobility.

Field Application Steps

  1. Load the main compartment by stuffing, not coiling, up to 220 feet of 7.5mm search rope.
  2. Don the bag using the shoulder strap, ensuring both seatbelt-style release buckles are unobstructed and accessible.
  3. At the entry point, firmly anchor the standing end of the rope to a structural element before advancing.
  4. Advance into the structure, allowing the search line to pay out smoothly from the bag.
  5. If immovably entangled by the bag or strap, locate and depress either quick-release buckle to immediately jettison the system.
