Quick Overview

The EVAC Systems Throw Bag is a pre-assembled water rescue system for the rapid deployment of a lifeline to a conscious victim. Its primary function is to establish a buoyant, retrievable connection between a rescuer and a person in the water to facilitate their recovery to shore or a vessel.

Field Application Steps

  1. Secure the rescuer's end of the rope; DO NOT attach it to your body.
  2. Make verbal contact with the victim, yelling "ROPE!" to signal your intent.
  3. Execute an underhand pendulum throw, aiming slightly downstream and beyond the victim.
  4. Allow the current to swing the rope into the victim's reach.
  5. Brace your position and retrieve the victim using a hand-over-hand motion.
