Quick Overview

This product's primary use is to consolidate a Rapid Intervention Team's essential life-saving equipment, including an SCBA, search rope, and forcible entry tools, into a single carrier. Its reinforced vinyl skid-plate bottom is specifically designed to allow the entire heavy cache to be dragged through debris-filled, hazardous environments to reach a downed firefighter.

Field Application Steps

  1. Pack the main compartment with SCBA, irons, and search rope per your department's standardized load plan.
  2. Stock exterior pockets with taglines, wedges, and cutters for rapid access.
  3. Transport the staged bag to the entry point using the padded shoulder strap or a two-person carry.
  4. Upon entry into the IDLH, transition to a low-profile drag using the reinforced grab handles.
  5. Drag the bag on its vinyl skid-plate bottom to protect contents while moving to the victim.
  6. At the victim's location, open the single main compartment to deploy the entire rescue cache.
