Quick Overview

The Elite First Aid GP IFAK Level 1 is a modular, rip-away individual first aid kit designed for rapid deployment in vehicle, field, and workplace emergencies by first responders, law enforcement, outdoor operators, and prepared civilians.

The GP IFAK Level 1 addresses five critical emergency categories through purpose-selected components: bleeding control, airway and CPR, burns and topicals, sprains and fractures, and tools and survival. The kit contains over 50 individual items including a BleedStop bandage, conforming gauze, butterfly wound closures, liquid skin, a CPR face shield, burn gel packets, a finger splint, EMT shears, and an emergency blanket. Every component is field-ready and organized for immediate access under pressure.

The defining capability of this kit is its Rip-Away Velcro Panel, which allows the main pouch to detach from its mounting base in a single motion without unbuckling or unstrapping. The base mounts to a vehicle headrest via adjustable strap or integrates with MOLLE-compatible vests and bags through PALS webbing and snap closures. This deployment architecture ensures the operator can bring the kit directly to a casualty in under one second, without removing the mount from its platform.

At 1.45 pounds and 9 inches by 8 inches by 5.5 inches, the kit is compact enough for any carry platform while providing professional-grade readiness across a range of scenarios including post-accident vehicle care, patrol duty, outdoor recreation, and everyday carry. The kit is HSA and FSA eligible, making it an accessible component of a complete personal or organizational readiness protocol.

Field Application Steps

1. SELECT YOUR MOUNT LOCATION: Identify where the kit will be staged based on your deployment environment. Vehicle headrest mounting provides immediate passenger-side access in post-accident scenarios. MOLLE mounting integrates the kit with a tactical vest, bag, or panel for field operations.

2. MOUNT THE BASE PANEL TO A VEHICLE HEADREST: Unbuckle the adjustable headrest strap included with the mounting panel. Wrap the strap vertically or horizontally around the vehicle headrest posts and cinch it tightly until the panel is fully secure and does not shift under movement.

3. MOUNT THE BASE PANEL TO MOLLE GEAR: Identify your desired attachment point on a MOLLE-compatible vest, bag, or panel. Weave the two vertical MOLLE straps through the PALS webbing on the back of the panel, then secure the snap closures at the bottom of each strap.

4. ATTACH THE IFAK POUCH TO THE PANEL: Press the main IFAK pouch firmly onto the large hook-and-loop field on the mounted base panel. Apply uniform pressure across the surface to ensure full contact and a secure hold that will not detach from incidental contact.

5. VERIFY DEPLOYMENT READINESS: Confirm the pouch is seated firmly and the mount is stable. Locate the top handle of the IFAK pouch and practice the rip-away motion until the detachment is instinctive. The pouch should release cleanly in a single decisive pull without requiring the operator to unbuckle or manipulate any hardware.

6. EXECUTE RAPID DEPLOYMENT IN AN EMERGENCY: Locate the IFAK on its mounted platform. Grasp the top handle firmly. Pull directly away from the panel in one motion. The hook-and-loop will release instantly, detaching the pouch for immediate use while leaving the mount securely in place.

7. IDENTIFY THE APPROPRIATE SUPPLY CATEGORY: Once the pouch is in hand, open it and access the correct emergency category based on the injury. Bleeding and wound care supplies address hemorrhage. Airway and CPR components support respiratory emergencies. Burn gel and antiseptics address topical injuries. The elastic bandage, triangular bandage, and finger splint address musculoskeletal injuries. EMT shears, penlight, emergency blanket, and tweezers support field operations.

8. RESTORE AND INSPECT AFTER USE: Replace any used or expired items immediately following each deployment. Check expiration dates on ibuprofen packets, burn gel, antiseptics, and BZK wipes on a regular inspection schedule. Re-seat the pouch firmly onto the panel and confirm the mount is still secure before returning the kit to its staged position.
