Quick Overview

The Elite Waterproof GP First Aid Kit is a military-inspired, USA-assembled hard-case medical kit designed for operators, vehicle crews, and field personnel who need reliable, deployment-ready wound care and trauma management capability in harsh environments.

Modeled after the U.S. military vehicle kit (NSN 6545-00-922-1200), this kit replaces the standard fabric pouch with a waterproof, crushproof hard plastic case that protects all internal components against moisture, impact, and contamination. The loadout spans three supply categories: bleeding and wound care, antiseptic and topical treatment, and tools and general supplies, totaling 65 or more items. Key components include 13 conforming gauze rolls in both 4-inch and 2-inch widths, 16 bandage strips, an instant ice pack, nitrile gloves, and 14 wipes and antiseptics across BZK, alcohol, and iodine formulations.

The case measures 8.5 by 6.0 by 3.25 inches and weighs approximately 1.25 pounds, making it compact enough for trunk storage, vessel compartments, toolboxes, or pack attachment. Two front clasps allow immediate access under pressure, and the sealed construction ensures contents remain sterile across extended storage in marine, vehicle, workshop, and field environments. The kit is HSA/FSA eligible and assembled domestically to military-inspired standards.

Bleeding and wound care items represent approximately 49 percent of the total loadout, reflecting a protocol priority consistent with tactical casualty care principles: scene safety first, hemorrhage control second, secondary wound care and comfort measures after. The included first aid instruction sheet supports personnel who require procedural reference at the point of care.

Field Application Steps

1. ASSESS THE SCENE: Before opening the kit, confirm the environment is safe for you and the casualty. Identify the nature of the injury to determine which supply category you will draw from first.

2. ACCESS THE KIT: Release both front clasps to open the hard plastic case. Locate the first aid instruction sheet immediately if a second person is assisting or if procedural reference is needed.

3. DON NITRILE GLOVES: Put on the included pair of black nitrile gloves before making contact with any wound or bodily fluid. This protects both the operator and the casualty from cross-contamination.

4. CONTROL MODERATE BLEEDING: Pack the wound with a 4-inch conforming gauze roll, applying firm direct pressure. Secure the dressing in place using the 1-inch medical tape roll.

5. TREAT MINOR CUTS AND SCRAPES: Clean the wound using a BZK antiseptic wipe or alcohol wipe. Apply the triple antibiotic packet to the cleaned area, then cover with a 1-inch by 3-inch bandage strip.

6. MANAGE SPRAINS AND STRAINS: Activate the instant ice pack by squeezing and shaking until cold. Apply it to the affected area to reduce swelling, then wrap with a 2-inch elastic bandage for compression. Administer a pain reliever from the included supply if needed.

7. TREAT EYE INJURIES: Instruct the casualty not to rub the eye. Flush with clean water if available, cover the eye with the included eye pad, and secure the pad in place with medical tape.

8. REPACK AND RESEAL THE KIT: After treatment, remove used or open items and note what requires restocking. Close and latch both front clasps to restore the waterproof seal before returning the kit to its storage position.
