Field Application Steps

Assess the scene for hazards and don nitrile gloves.

Apply the Windlass Tourniquet 'high and tight' to a bleeding limb and tighten until bleeding stops.
For junctional wounds, pack with Hemostatic Gauze and apply a pressure dressing.
Mark the time of tourniquet application and monitor the patient until EMS arrival.
