Quick Overview

Kemp USA Individually Wrapped Nitrile Gloves are single-use PPE barrier protection used by first responders, law enforcement, and field operators to prevent direct contact with blood, body fluids, pathogens, and chemicals during patient care and tactical operations.

These gloves are a foundational component of Body Substance Isolation (BSI) protocol. Constructed from 4 mil nitrile, they provide superior puncture and chemical resistance compared to latex or vinyl alternatives and eliminate Type I latex allergy risk entirely. The ambidextrous, powder-free design expedites donning under stress and prevents wound contamination or evidence adhesion. Blue coloring provides high visual contrast for rapid identification of fluid exposure or glove failure in the field.

Individual hermetic packaging is the tactical advantage of this product. Each pair is sealed in a transparent pouch that protects against moisture, dirt, lint, and abrasion inside a gear bag, IFAK, or vehicle cache. This preserves barrier integrity until the exact point of deployment, regardless of how long the gloves have been carried or how demanding the storage environment has been.

Readiness sustainment requires deliberate management. Operators should inspect sealed pouches during every routine gear check, confirm seals are intact, and gently compress packets to detect brittleness indicating material degradation. Stock rotation follows First-In, First-Out (FIFO) protocol, with manufacturer expiration dates checked regularly and all gloves used during an incident or training evolution replaced immediately.

Field Application Steps

1. ENSURE SCENE SAFETY: Identify and mitigate immediate environmental hazards before retrieving your gloves. Do not initiate patient contact until the scene is assessed.

2. RETRIEVE AND INSPECT THE PACKET: Remove one sealed Kemp USA Nitrile Glove packet from your kit or carrier. Visually inspect the transparent pouch for tears, punctures, or any breach in the hermetic seal. If the pouch is compromised in any way, discard it and retrieve a new packet.

3. OPEN THE PACKET: Tear open the packet at the designated notch using your fingers only. Do not use teeth or sharp tools, as this risks contaminating or damaging the gloves before donning.

4. DON THE FIRST GLOVE: Remove the folded gloves and set them on a clean, dry surface if available. Grasp one glove by the edge of the rolled cuff only, ensuring your bare hand contacts only the interior surface. Insert your hand fully and extend the cuff over the wrist.

5. DON THE SECOND GLOVE: Using the gloved hand, slide two fingers under the cuff of the second glove using glove-to-glove contact only. Insert the bare hand fully into the second glove and adjust both gloves for fit, eliminating wrinkles and trapped air.

6. CONDUCT PATIENT CARE: Perform assessment or intervention as required. Do not touch your face, eyes, personal communication equipment, or uncontaminated gear with gloved hands following patient contact. Change gloves between patients or when transitioning from a contaminated task to a cleaner one.

7. DOFF THE FIRST GLOVE: Pinch the palm of the left glove near the wrist and pull downward and away, turning it inside-out so the contaminated surface is fully contained inside the inverted glove.

8. SECURE THE FIRST GLOVE: Hold the balled-up inverted glove in the palm of the still-gloved right hand. This keeps all contamination contained and prepares for clean removal of the second glove.

9. DOFF THE SECOND GLOVE: Slide two fingers of the now-bare left hand under the right-hand glove cuff, contacting the inner surface only. Peel the second glove off and over the first, turning it inside-out to produce one contained bundle with all contaminants secured inside.

10. DISPOSE AND DECONTAMINATE: Place the contained glove bundle immediately into a designated biohazard receptacle or dispose of per local protocol. Perform hand hygiene using an alcohol-based sanitizer or soap and water as soon as tactically feasible.
