Quick Overview

The R&B Hydrant Tool Bag attaches directly to a 2.5-inch to 5-inch supply hose, keeping essential hydrant tools co-located with the line during deployment. This ensures the hydrant firefighter has immediate access to wrenches, valves, and adapters upon reaching the water source, increasing the speed of water supply operations.

Field Application Steps

  1. Securely attach the bag to the hydrant-end of the supply hose, positioning it 12-24 inches behind the coupling.
  2. Load with essential hydrant tools and firmly secure the top Velcro flap to prevent tool ejection.
  3. Deploy the hose to the hydrant; the bag and tools will travel with the supply line.
  4. Access tools to make the hydrant connection.
  5. Return all tools to the bag and re-secure the flap *before* the line is charged to ensure accountability.
  6. After use, inspect and clean all Velcro closures to ensure mounting integrity for the next deployment.
