Deployment protocol follows a five-step sequence: assess anchor points and estimate required length, dispense cordage directly from the tube, cut and heat-fuse the severed end to prevent fraying, secure the working end remaining in the tube, then execute the rigging task using proven knots such as the Bowline, Figure-Eight on a Bight, and Trucker's Hitch. Operators must account for knot strength reduction, which can reduce tensile capacity by up to 50% depending on knot type.

Field Application Steps

1. ASSESS AND IDENTIFY ANCHOR POINTS: Identify all viable anchor points on both the load and the fixed structure. Estimate the cord length required, accounting for knots, multiple passes, and a margin for error.

2. DISPENSE CORDAGE FROM TUBE: Locate the loose end protruding from the tube and pull directly from it. Do not remove the entire coil from the tube, as this defeats the tangle-prevention function of the dispensing system.

3. CUT TO REQUIRED LENGTH: Use a knife to make a clean, perpendicular cut at the measured length. Maintain control of both the cut piece and the remaining cord in the tube.

4. FUSE THE CUT END: Immediately apply a lighter or flame source to the freshly cut end to melt and fuse the nylon sheath and inner strands together. Allow the fused end to cool fully before handling.

5. SECURE THE WORKING END IN THE TUBE: Before proceeding, tuck the remaining working end under the tube's lip or secure it with tape to prevent it from retracting inside the tube during use.

6. TIE ANCHOR KNOT TO FIXED POINT: Tie a Bowline or Figure-Eight on a Bight to a secure, load-rated anchor point on the fixed structure. Confirm the knot is dressed and set correctly before loading.

7. ROUTE CORDAGE OVER THE LOAD: Pass the cordage over or through the load and route it to the corresponding anchor point on the opposite side, maintaining tension and a clean line of pull.

8. APPLY TRUCKER'S HITCH TO TENSION THE LOAD: Tie a Trucker's Hitch in the running line to create a mechanical advantage and cinch the load firmly against the anchor points.

9. FINISH WITH HALF-HITCHES: Lock the tensioned line with two or more half-hitches around the standing line to prevent the Trucker's Hitch from releasing under dynamic load.

10. CONFIRM LOAD STABILITY BEFORE PROCEEDING: Physically check all knots, contact points, and load movement before resuming operations. Do not proceed if any point of the rigging shows slippage or instability.
