The standard deployment protocol sequences three phases: mobile charging on the move, optimized static charging at halts, and controlled device recharging from the power bank. Field Application Steps

1. PRE-DEPLOYMENT CHARGE: Fully charge the 5,000mAh power bank from a reliable AC wall outlet before departure. Do not rely on solar input to provide immediate power at the start of an operation.

2. PRE-DEPLOYMENT INSPECTION: Inspect the panel surface for scratches, cracks, or delamination, and check all cables for frays or damaged connectors. Confirm MOLLE straps and snaps are structurally sound, and wipe the panel surface clean with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth.

3. FUNCTIONAL TEST: Connect the panel to the power bank and confirm the charging indicator activates. Connect the power bank to a device and verify it delivers a charge before fielding the system.

4. MOUNT PANEL FOR MOBILE CHARGING: Unfold the panel and weave the dual MOLLE straps through the PALS webbing on the top or back of your pack for maximum sun exposure. Ensure the panel is taut and does not obstruct access to critical gear.

5. CONNECT POWER BANK FOR MOBILE CHARGING: Run a USB cable from the panel's 5V output port to the input port of the power bank. Secure the power bank in an exterior pouch or pocket, routing the cable without strain.

6. MAINTAIN MOBILE CHARGING DISCIPLINE: Allow sunlight to trickle-charge the power bank while moving. Do not direct-charge a device from the panel while on the move, as changing sun angles produce inconsistent power delivery that reduces effectiveness.

7. SELECT STATIC CHARGING SITE: At a halt or base camp, identify a position that will receive unobstructed direct sunlight for the longest available duration.

8. OPTIMIZE PANEL ANGLE FOR STATIC CHARGING: Detach the panel from your pack and use the grommets with cordage, or prop the panel against a stable object, to orient the surface perpendicular to the sun. Adjust the angle periodically to track the sun throughout the charging window.

9. PRIORITIZE POWER BANK CHARGING: Direct solar output to the power bank as the primary objective during static charging. Only redirect the panel output to charge secondary devices directly once the power bank is fully charged and sunlight remains available.

10. EXECUTE DEVICE RECHARGING FROM POWER BANK: When a device such as a GPS unit or smartphone requires power, disconnect the power bank from the solar panel. Use a separate cable to connect the power bank's output port to the device and charge to the required level.

11. CONSERVE AND CYCLE: Once the device is charged, preserve remaining power bank capacity. Return to Phase 1 or Phase 2 solar charging at the next available opportunity to replenish the power bank before the next charge cycle is needed.

12. POST-MISSION STOWAGE AND STORAGE: Clean and inspect the full system for any damage sustained during the operation. For storage exceeding one month, charge the power bank to 50 to 70 percent capacity, and store the system in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
