Quick Overview

The StatPacks G3+ Responder is a 36-liter professional-grade EMS backpack used by first responders in urban EMS, event medicine, and agency response to deploy BLS and ALS equipment in contaminated or high-pressure environments with full organizational control.

The G3+ Responder is built around a core design principle that separates the equipment compartment from the operator's harness system. Back-panel access zippers allow the main compartment to open like a lid while the shoulder harness remains elevated and off the ground, preventing cross-contamination on wet or debris-covered surfaces. The high-gloss tarpaulin exterior is non-porous and resistant to water, oil, and bodily fluids, supporting post-incident decontamination with agency-approved disinfectants. The reinforced "Stand-Strong" base allows the pack to stand upright on contaminated ground for stable exterior pocket access.

The main compartment measures 26 by 14 by 6 inches and is fully Velcro loop-lined, enabling complete modular customization by protocol, including MARCH or ABCs sequencing. Two vertical side pockets sized at 23 by 6 by 4 inches provide designated carriage for long-form equipment such as cervical collars, SAM splints, and intubation kits without disrupting the primary medical loadout. The lay-flat deployment design provides immediate full visual inventory of the entire compartment, reducing search time under stress. A top exterior pocket sized at 12 by 6 by 3 inches stages high-frequency items including PPE, trauma shears, and triage tags for immediate access on scene arrival.

Field Application Steps

1. PRE-SHIFT INSPECTION: Visually and physically inspect all seams, zippers, and buckle hardware before every deployment. Confirm zippers run freely, webbing shows no fraying, and both shoulder straps and the sternum strap are fully functional and correctly adjusted for your body.

2. CONDUCT CONTENTS INVENTORY: Conduct a full inventory of the main compartment and all pockets against your agency checklist. Verify all modular pouches are secured to the Velcro loop-lined interior, and check expiration dates on all consumables and pharmaceuticals.

3. ADJUST HARNESS FOR INCIDENT ENTRY: Set shoulder straps and sternum strap to a snug torso fit before approaching the scene. Carry the pack via the shoulder harness to your staging location, clear of traffic and environmental hazards.

4. STAGE THE PACK FOR ACCESS: On wet or contaminated ground, place the pack vertically on the "Stand-Strong" reinforced base for upright, stable access to exterior pockets. For full main compartment access, transition the pack to a face-down position so that the back-panel zippers orient upward.

5. OPEN MAIN COMPARTMENT: Unzip the back-panel zippers completely. The back panel opens like a lid with the harness elevated above the ground surface, keeping the harness clean and the full compartment visible for immediate retrieval.

6. RETRIEVE EQUIPMENT BY PROTOCOL: Pull required modular pouches, such as Airway or Bleeding modules, based on patient assessment and your operational protocol. For cervical collar retrieval, access the designated vertical side pocket independently without disturbing main compartment organization.

7. SECURE PACK AND EGRESS: After patient care, replace all non-disposable equipment into their designated modules. Close and secure all zippers on every compartment to prevent equipment loss during movement, then don the clean shoulder harness to transport the pack from the scene.

8. POST-INCIDENT DECONTAMINATION: Immediately wipe down the tarpaulin exterior with an agency-approved disinfectant following any fluid exposure. Clean all contact surfaces including zippers and handles, and allow the pack to air dry completely before restocking.

9. RESTOCK AND RETURN TO READINESS: Replace all used medical supplies to return the pack to a mission-ready state. Document all items used per your agency protocol and store the pack in a clean, dry, climate-controlled environment away from prolonged direct UV exposure.
