Quick Overview

This station provides essential tools for an immediate bystander response to life-threatening limb bleeding in public or workplace settings. It is designed for wall-mounting, enabling untrained users to apply direct pressure or a tourniquet before professional responders arrive.

Field Application Steps

  1. Ensure scene safety, call 911, and access the wall-mounted kit.
  2. Don nitrile gloves and use shears to completely expose the wound.
  3. Apply firm, direct pressure to the wound using the trauma pad.
  4. If bleeding is life-threatening and uncontrolled by pressure, apply the windlass tourniquet high and tight on the limb.
  5. Tighten the windlass until bleeding stops completely, secure it, and write the time of application on the strap.
  6. Treat the casualty for shock with the emergency blanket and await EMS arrival.
