Deployment protocol follows a six-step sequence: scene safety and PPE donning, hemorrhage control with tourniquet application, secondary sweep and wound management, shock and hypothermia prevention using the aluminized rescue blanket, continuous patient monitoring, and structured EMS handoff. The field manual emphasizes noting tourniquet application time, never removing the tourniquet in the field, and packaging contaminated materials in the included biohazard bag prior to handoff.

Readiness sustainment requires monthly inspection of all inventory, expiration dates, and sterile packaging integrity. After each deployment, the kit must be returned to 100% mission-capable state before returning to service. Critical items including the tourniquet, Celox gauze, and trauma dressings are staged in the exterior pocket for immediate access, consistent with professional-grade field protocol.
