Quick Overview

This kit is designed for professional first responders and trained individuals to manage severe trauma and medical emergencies at the point of injury. It provides advanced tools for controlling massive hemorrhage, managing wounds, and stabilizing a patient until advanced medical personnel arrive.

Field Application Steps

  1. Ensure scene safety and don Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) from the kit.
  2. Identify and control life-threatening extremity hemorrhage immediately using the SOFT-T tourniquet.
  3. For severe bleeding where a tourniquet is not applicable, apply the Celox hemostatic gauze and maintain firm, direct pressure.
  4. Conduct a rapid secondary assessment and manage other wounds, burns, or fractures using the appropriate dressings and bandages.
  5. Treat for shock by laying the patient down and covering them with the aluminized rescue blanket.
  6. Monitor the patient continuously and prepare a detailed report for handoff to arriving EMS personnel.
