- Identify and control life-threatening extremity hemorrhage immediately using the SOFT-T tourniquet.
- For severe bleeding where a tourniquet is not applicable, apply the Celox hemostatic gauze and maintain firm, direct pressure.
- Conduct a rapid secondary assessment and manage other wounds, burns, or fractures using the appropriate dressings and bandages.
- Treat for shock by laying the patient down and covering them with the aluminized rescue blanket.
- Monitor the patient continuously and prepare a detailed report for handoff to arriving EMS personnel.
