Quick Overview

The 160-Piece First Responder Supply Pack is a precision replenishment module designed to restore a deployed First Responder Kit to full operational readiness, intended for trained first responders, law enforcement, and industrial response personnel managing pre-hospital emergencies.

This module supports Basic Life Support-level care across five capability areas: major hemorrhage control, wound dressing and bandaging, burn and eye injury management, musculoskeletal injury support, and basic resuscitation adjuncts. Components are organized by operational purpose for rapid identification under stress. The pack is engineered to refill a primary response bag, specifically the First Aid Only SKU 3500 or equivalent, and does not include a carry bag or advanced airway devices.

The hemorrhage control inventory includes a 12"x30" Trauma Dressing, two 8"x10" and three 5"x9" Trauma Pads, six Hema-Seal rapid-deploy pressure dressing units, and 26 sterile gauze pads for wound packing. Wound management capability is supported by 50 adhesive fabric bandages, conforming and sterile gauze rolls, and a triple-cut adhesive tape roll. Musculoskeletal support draws on four triangular bandages, two elastic bandage wraps, and three chemical cold packs. Burn and eye injury protocols are addressed through a 4oz Burn Jel bottle, 20oz of sterile eyewash across two containers, and four sterile eye pad sets.

Readiness sustainment is a core protocol for this module. After any deployment, the primary kit must be taken offline and fully restocked before returning to service. Monthly inspections should verify sterile packaging integrity, fluid container condition, and cold pack activation status. Items with expiration dates must be cycled out three months before their printed date to maintain field-ready status.

Field Application Steps

1. SCENE ASSESSMENT AND PPE DONNING: Confirm the scene is clear of the initiating hazard before approaching any casualty. Immediately don one pair of Nitrile Exam Gloves from the PPE supply before making patient contact.

2. WOUND EXPOSURE: Use the 7.25" EMT-grade Shears to cut away clothing and expose the injury site. Apply only enough cuts to fully visualize the wound without unnecessary tissue disturbance.

3. HEMORRHAGE CONTROL, DIRECT PRESSURE: Apply an 8"x10" Trauma Pad directly over the wound with firm, sustained direct pressure. Secure the pad in place using a 4" Conforming Gauze Roll wrapped around the extremity.

4. HEMORRHAGE CONTROL, LAYERING PROTOCOL: If active bleeding continues through the first pad, place a second Trauma Pad directly on top of the first without removing it. Elevate the limb above heart level if patient condition and injury type permit.

5. BURN INJURY MANAGEMENT: Apply Burn Jel liberally to the affected burn area using the 4oz bottle. Do not use Burn Jel on chemical burns until the area has been fully irrigated with sterile eyewash or clean water.

6. MUSCULOSKELETAL INJURY MANAGEMENT: Activate a 6"x9" Cold Pack by squeezing to break the internal barrier and shaking to mix. Wrap the cold pack in a Triangular Bandage cravat before applying to the injured area. Never apply the cold pack directly to skin.

7. COMPRESSION WRAP APPLICATION: Apply an Elastic Bandage Wrap over the triangular bandage cravat to secure the cold pack and provide compression to the injury site. Wrap distal to proximal to support venous return.

8. EYE INJURY PROTOCOL: For foreign debris or chemical exposure, irrigate the eye continuously using sterile Eyewash, beginning with the 16oz bottle. For penetrating eye injuries, do not apply pressure. Stabilize any impaled object and cover both eyes with Sterile Eye Pads to limit sympathetic eye movement.

9. ANTISEPTIC APPLICATION: Use Alcohol Wipes or Povidone-Iodine Wipes on intact skin surrounding a wound only. Do not apply either antiseptic inside the wound bed, as both are cytotoxic to healing tissue. Use sterile eyewash or clean water for wound irrigation.

10. CASUALTY MONITORING AND THERMAL PROTECTION: If patient condition indicates risk of hypothermia or shock, deploy the 52"x84" Mylar Emergency Blanket with the reflective surface facing inward to retain body heat.

11. POST-CARE DISPOSAL AND DOCUMENTATION: Once EMS assumes care, remove contaminated gloves using a glove-over-glove technique. Place all soiled dressings, pads, and gloves into the 24"x24" Biohazard Bag and seal it. Document every item consumed from the primary kit to drive immediate restocking from this refill module.

12. KIT RESTOCKING PROTOCOL: After any use, take the primary kit offline immediately. Conduct a 100% inventory against the module contents list and replace all consumed or compromised items before returning the kit to a ready status.
