Quick Overview

The G.I. Mosquito Net provides a durable, non-chemical physical barrier to protect an individual from disease-carrying and nuisance insects during rest cycles. It is designed for suspension over military cots or integration into field-expedient shelters in any environment with significant insect activity.

Field Application Steps

  1. Suspend the net over the designated sleeping area using the six reinforced tie-tapes and external cordage.
  2. Rig the corners and center points to maximize interior volume and prevent the mesh from contacting your body.
  3. Establish a mission-critical 360-degree seal by tucking all bottom edges securely under the mattress or sleeping pad.
  4. Visually inspect and clear the interior of any trapped insects before entering.
  5. Maintain the seal at all times; enter and exit quickly to prevent insect intrusion.
  6. Regularly inspect the mesh for holes or tears and perform immediate field repairs as required.
