Quick Overview

The Kemp CPR Training Manikin 7-Pack is a complete instructor-grade deployment kit containing five adult and two infant manikins that enables certified instructors to conduct CPR, AED, and BLS courses with a 1:1 student-to-manikin ratio in any non-clinical training environment.

The kit is engineered for mobile training operations across corporate offices, schools, and community centers. The 1:1 student-to-manikin ratio is a deliberate capability decision: it eliminates student downtime, maximizes hands-on repetition, and directly improves psychomotor skill retention. The soft foam torso on adult manikins delivers realistic tactile feedback for compression depth and recoil, while the head assembly requires a correct head-tilt/chin-lift to open the simulated airway, creating a built-in technique checkpoint that instructors can observe and correct in real time.

The two infant manikins are purpose-built to teach distinct infant-specific protocols, including two-finger or two-thumb compressions and neutral head positioning for airway management. Their smaller scale and distinct physiology prevent negative skill transfer from adult training, which is a critical readiness consideration when students will respond to victims across all age groups. Single-use lung bag assemblies serve as the primary hygiene control layer, inflating visibly on correct breath delivery and eliminating the need for internal manikin disinfection between student rotations.

All seven manikins and associated consumables pack into a single soft-sided nylon carrying case designed for single-person carry, supporting rapid deployment and breakdown without additional personnel or equipment.

Field Application Steps

1. PRE-DEPLOYMENT INVENTORY: Before departing for the training site, open the nylon carrying case and conduct a full count to confirm all 7 manikins (5 adult, 2 infant) are present and serviceable. Verify that lung bag stock is sufficient for the full class roster plus a minimum 10% contingency supply.

2. SITE ASSESSMENT AND STATION SETUP: Upon arrival, select a training area with a hard, flat floor and sufficient space for students to kneel without obstruction. Unpack all manikins and space them approximately 4 to 6 feet apart to establish individual practice stations, then place new, sealed lung bags beside each manikin.

3. ADULT MANIKIN LUNG BAG INSTALLATION: Tilt the adult manikin's head fully back, then insert the lung bag through the mouth opening and feed it down into the chest cavity. Lay the integrated face shield portion flat over the manikin's face and mouth area.

4. INFANT MANIKIN LUNG BAG INSTALLATION: Gently pull the infant manikin's facial skin layer away from the chest. Feed the infant lung bag into the chest cavity, lay it flat inside the torso, then pull the facial skin back down into its original position and confirm the bag's neck is aligned with the mouth opening.

5. MANIKIN VERIFICATION CHECK: Perform a head-tilt/chin-lift on each adult manikin or move each infant manikin to a neutral head position, then deliver a gentle test breath. Confirm visible chest rise on every unit before students approach any station, and adjust bag positioning on any manikin that fails to produce chest rise.

6. STUDENT STATION ASSIGNMENT: Assign one student per prepared manikin. No student may approach a manikin station without a fresh, installed lung bag in place.

7. IN-CLASS ROTATION AND HYGIENE PROTOCOL: After each student completes their practical evolution and steps away from the station, the instructor (wearing disposable gloves) immediately removes the used lung bag through the mouth opening and disposes of it in a designated waste receptacle. Install a new lung bag per the Step 2 and Step 3 procedures before the next student approaches. Repeat this protocol for every student rotation without exception.

8. POST-CLASS DECONTAMINATION: Confirm all used lung bags have been removed from all manikins and properly disposed of. Using a commercial-grade disinfectant wipe suitable for plastics and foam, thoroughly wipe down the face, mouth area, and entire torso of each manikin, paying special attention to hand contact zones and any areas where AED trainer pads were applied.

9. DRY TIME AND DAMAGE INSPECTION: Allow all manikins to air dry completely before repacking. Conduct a post-use damage assessment on each unit, checking for new tears, cracks, or foam degradation.

10. REPACK AND RESUPPLY: Systematically repack all manikins into the nylon carrying case, ensuring no unit is bent or crushed during storage. Update the inventory log for consumed lung bags and reorder consumables before stock falls below a 2-class supply threshold.
