Quick Overview

This kit provides all necessary components for the safe cleanup and disposal of blood or other potentially infectious materials. Its primary function is to enable an OSHA-compliant response to biohazard spills in workplace, public, and institutional settings.

Field Application Steps

  1. Secure the area and don all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the specified order: gown, eye shield, then gloves.
  2. Apply fluid-solidifying powder to the spill, wait for it to solidify, then use the bio-scoop to collect all waste.
  3. Place all contaminated materials—including solidified waste, tools, and paper towels—directly into the red biohazard bag.
  4. Carefully remove all PPE in the correct sequence to prevent self-contamination, placing it into the disposal bag.
  5. Seal the red bag, place it inside the secondary trash bag, and seal the outer bag.
  6. Perform hand hygiene with the provided towelette and soap and water, then dispose of the sealed waste bag according to local biohazard regulations.
