Quick Overview

This waterproof cloth tape is designed to secure first aid dressings in wet, humid, or oily conditions where standard tapes would fail. Its primary function is ensuring wound coverings remain in place during activities like swimming, showering, or physically demanding labor in industrial settings.

Field Application Steps

  1. Prepare the wound area by ensuring skin surrounding the injury is clean and completely dry.
  2. Cover the wound with an appropriate sterile dressing.
  3. Tear strips of tape by hand and apply to secure all four edges of the dressing, creating a complete seal.
  4. Anchor at least half of the tape's width to intact, healthy skin, not just the dressing material.
  5. Press firmly over the entire tape surface to activate the adhesive and ensure a strong, water-resistant bond.
  6. Regularly inspect the dressing for security and replace if the seal is compromised or the dressing becomes saturated.
