These tablets are used to chemically purify questionable water sources, making them bacteriologically safe for drinking in emergency or field situations. They provide a lightweight, reliable method for neutralizing threats like bacteria and Giardia when primary filtration systems are unavailable or impractical.

Field Application Steps

  1. Add two (2) tablets to one (1) quart/liter of the clearest available water.
  2. Cap the container, shake to dissolve, then loosen the cap to allow treated water to decontaminate the threads.
  3. Wait a minimum of 35 minutes before drinking. Double this time to 70 minutes if the water is very cold or cloudy.
  4. Before use, inspect tablets: discard if they are yellow, crumbled, or stuck together.
  5. Confirm user has NO iodine allergy, thyroid condition, and is not pregnant before issuing or using this product.
