Quick Overview

This system secures a 100-foot section of 1¾” fire hose into a compact, shoulder-carried bundle for rapid deployment in confined spaces like stairwells and corridors. It is primarily used for high-rise firefighting, advancing lines from standpipes, and organizing cross-lays for efficient hose stretches.

Field Application Steps

  1. Secure a properly coiled 100-ft Cleveland Load with the three main straps, cinching buckles tight.
  2. Attach the shoulder strap and transport the bundle hands-free to the point of operation (standpipe or wye).
  3. Place the bundle on the floor and connect the hose coupling to the water source.
  4. Release all three Nexus buckles and pull the straps completely clear of the hose coil.
  5. Advance the nozzle to the target entry point, allowing the hose to pay out.
  6. Once in position, call for the line to be charged.
