Quick Overview

This bag ensures essential hydrant tools are physically secured to the supply line, preventing them from being forgotten or lost during deployment. It allows the hydrant firefighter to grab the hose coupling and all necessary wrenches and adapters in a single, efficient motion.

Field Application Steps

  1. Select standard hydrant tool loadout (e.g., wrench, adapters) and verify they fit within the bag.
  2. Securely mount the bag to the supply line near the male coupling using the dual Velcro® straps, ensuring a tight, non-slip fit.
  3. Load tools into the bag and firmly press the top Velcro® flap closed, ensuring full engagement.
  4. Confirm the bag and its contents are properly stowed in the hose bed to minimize snagging during deployment.
  5. Pull the hose; the bag and tools travel directly with the coupling to the hydrant for immediate access.
  6. Post-incident, inventory all tools, clean debris from the Velcro, and re-secure for service.
