Quick Overview

The R&B RES-Q-PAK is a specialized equipment case designed to consolidate and protect all necessary spinal immobilization tools in one location. Its primary function is to ensure that when a spine board is deployed, the accompanying KED, collars, head blocks, and straps arrive together as a complete system.

Field Application Steps

  1. Stage the fully inventoried RES-Q-PAK with spine boards in the apparatus before each shift.
  2. When spinal immobilization is indicated, retrieve the RES-Q-PAK and a spine board as a single system.
  3. At the patient's side, open the case fully to rapidly access and apply collars, the KED, and head blocks per your protocol.
  4. After patient transfer, treat the bag and all used contents as contaminated; segregate for decontamination.
  5. Perform a full inspection and inventory of the bag and all components before repacking and returning to service.
