Quick Overview

The R&B Water Can Carrier is a webbing sling system designed to carry a 2.5-gallon water extinguisher hands-free on the fireground. This frees the firefighter's hands for other critical tasks such as forcible entry, victim search, and crawling, while reducing fatigue during high-rise operations.

Field Application Steps

  1. Insert the 2.5-gallon extinguisher into the webbing harness and tightly cinch the retaining straps around the cylinder.
  2. Sling the carrier cross-body over your turnout gear and SCBA, adjusting the strap for a secure fit at your hip.
  3. Perform a final function check by shaking the unit to ensure the extinguisher does not shift or slip.
  4. During movement, maintain situational awareness to avoid snagging the strap or extinguisher on obstacles.
  5. To deploy, stabilize the slung extinguisher with one hand while operating the pin and nozzle with the other.
