The 600 Denier polyester exterior resists abrasion and environmental degradation, providing structural form around the collapsible bladder.

System integration is handled through two rear ALICE keeper clips, which mount the carrier to a pistol belt, rucksack, or any ALICE-compatible load-bearing equipment. For standalone carry, a permanently sewn adjustable shoulder strap allows independent deployment without additional gear. The main flap secures via a quick-release buckle, enabling rapid one-handed access during operations.

Field Application Steps

1. INSPECT THE BLADDER: Obtain a serviceable G.I. 2-quart collapsible bladder, which is not included with the cover. Inspect all seams and the cap area for leaks, cracks, or perishing, and discard any compromised bladder before proceeding.

2. FILL AND PREPARE THE BLADDER: Fill the bladder with potable water, leaving a small air gap to allow for expansion and to ease insertion into the cover. Secure the cap tightly before handling.

3. INSERT THE BLADDER INTO THE COVER: Open the main flap and carefully insert the filled bladder so it sits flat against the fleece-lined interior. The collapsible bladder will conform to the shape of the cover.

4. SECURE THE MAIN FLAP: Close the main flap and engage the quick-release buckle until a positive lockup is confirmed. Verify the canteen cap remains accessible when the flap is opened.

5. STOCK THE ANCILLARY POCKET: Place a sealed container of water purification tablets into the side utility pocket. Press the hook-and-loop closure fully to confirm it is secure.

6. SELECT YOUR CARRIAGE METHOD: Determine whether shoulder carry or belt and LBE integration best fits the mission profile and existing loadout before mounting.

7. CONFIGURE SHOULDER CARRY (IF SELECTED): Adjust the shoulder strap to a length that positions the carrier comfortably on the hip. Confirm the adjustment allows unimpeded movement and easy flap access.

8. MOUNT TO BELT OR LBE (IF SELECTED): Identify the mounting point on the pistol belt or pack. Open each ALICE keeper clip by sliding the bottom tab upward and out, thread the clips through the compatible webbing loops, then push the sliding tab back into the closed position on both clips.

9. CONDUCT PULL-TEST: Physically pull on the mounted carrier with deliberate force to confirm a positive lock on both ALICE clips. Do not proceed until the carrier is confirmed secure against dynamic movement.

10. PERFORM PRE-DEPLOYMENT INSPECTION: Check all stitching for fraying, inspect the quick-release buckle and ALICE clips for cracks, rust, or deformation, and examine the outer shell and inner fleece for damage or contamination before every deployment.
