Field Application Steps

1. TASK ASSESSMENT AND TOOL SELECTION: Evaluate the task before retrieving any components. Select the axe or saw head for clearing vegetation, the shovel for fire pit excavation, or the pick axe for breaking compacted soil, clay, or ice.

2. COMPONENT RETRIEVAL: Open the nylon carrying case and remove the handle and the selected tool head. Verify the correct head is matched to the task before proceeding to assembly.

3. PRE-ASSEMBLY INSPECTION: Inspect all metal components for rust, cracks, or stress fractures. Verify locking collar threads are clean, unstripped, and turn smoothly. Check the rubber grip for tears or separation.

4. SECURE ASSEMBLY: Unscrew the locking collar fully. Seat the tool head completely onto the handle. Hand-tighten the collar until firm.

5. FUNCTION CHECK: Perform a physical function check by twisting and pulling the head against the collar. No wobble is permitted. Do not proceed to operation if any movement is detected.
