- Secure the main hook-and-loop calf strap tightly to prevent slippage.
- Insert the cleared firearm and fasten the thumb snap retention strap.
- Test retention by pulling on the firearm; it must not move.
- Practice the multi-step draw: kneel, lift pant leg, establish grip, break snap, and draw.
