Field Application Steps

1. INSPECT ON ARRIVAL: Confirm the size and color match your order. Check the 22 oz cotton canvas, each hook and eyelet on the closure, the cotton web shoulder strap and the double reinforced grab handle. The bag ships empty, and a padlock is not included.

2. PLAN THE LOADOUT: Decide the packing order by how you will unpack, because the bag loads only from the top. Clothing, laundry and camping supplies suit its shape, and items you need first go in last.

3. PACK FROM THE BOTTOM: Open the wide top and place heavier, bulkier items at the bottom, then fill upward with softer goods. Pack the load firmly so it does not shift inside the bag when you lift it.

4. CLOSE THE TOP: Close the top with the hook-and-eyelet closure. To keep belongings secure for a move or for storage, add a padlock of your own through the closure, which accommodates almost any padlock.

5. LIFT BY THE HANDLE: Use the double reinforced grab handle for short lifts, such as up the stairs or into a vehicle. Rothco built it to carry heavy loads while minimizing wear and tear.

6. CARRY ON THE STRAP: For longer distances, carry the bag on the cotton web shoulder strap so the strap takes the weight. Switch back to the grab handle to set the bag down or load it.

7. UNPACK AND DRY: Unload from the top and empty the bag fully after the move, trip or storage period. Shake out debris and let damp canvas dry before you fold the bag.

8. FOLD AND STORE: Fold the empty bag and store it in a dry place until the next move, campout or seasonal pack-up. Check the canvas, closure, strap and handle before you fill it again.
