The pouch chassis is constructed from 600D polyester, providing abrasion, tear, and moisture resistance to protect electronic equipment under field conditions. A metal-reinforced drainage grommet at the base allows immediate water evacuation, preventing moisture buildup that could compromise radio function. The rear hook panel measures 6 inches by 2.5 inches and mates directly with the loop-faced LACV cummerbund surface, creating a shear-resistant bond rated for dynamic movement. A secondary 2-inch by 2-inch frontal hook field accommodates ID patches for battlefield identification and situational awareness.

Retention is managed through an elastic cord system that accommodates varying radio sizes while applying consistent downward pressure to prevent dislodgement. An adjustable cord lock with pull tab enables precise tension calibration and allows one-handed radio extraction and re-insertion, including when the operator is wearing gloves.
