It is water-resistant, not waterproof, meaning moisture-sensitive items including electronics, documents, and medical supplies must be sealed in separate waterproof containers before loading. The closure system consists of a full-length zipper providing rapid access to the main compartment, protected by a snap-closure canvas flap that shields the zipper track from dirt, debris, and impact. Two reinforced web carry handles manage moderate-to-heavy loads for hand-carry, and two D-rings at the base of the handles serve as attachment points for a user-supplied shoulder strap or vehicle lashing via carabiner.
