Field Application Steps

  1. Open lid to 90° and rear sight to 45°, placing thumb in loop.
  2. Raise compass to eye level and look through the rear sight lens.
  3. Align the front sight wire with the distant target object.
  4. Read the magnetic azimuth on the dial where it aligns with the fixed index line.
  5. For night navigation, align the three glowing tritium sights (one front, two rear) with the target.
