Quick Overview

The StatPacks G3+ Bolus is a professional-grade mobile pharmacy management system used by paramedics, flight medics, and critical care providers to store, transport, and rapidly deploy a comprehensive pharmacopoeia during high-acuity medical operations.

The G3+ Bolus is organized around a removable center cassette that mounts eight detachable clear-window pouches, each designated for a specific drug class such as Cardiac, RSI, Analgesics, Pressors, or Pediatric medications. The TPU windows allow immediate visual identification and expiration checks without opening the pouch, and the hook-and-loop backing enables individual pouches to be handed off to a second provider for simultaneous medication preparation. This architecture supports true team-based deployment, allowing medication draw-up and vascular access to proceed in parallel without disrupting the main compartment.

The QuickZip front panel functions as an independent vascular access module, keeping IV catheters, saline flushes, extension sets, antiseptic wipes, and commercial tourniquets immediately accessible upon patient contact. Because this panel operates separately from the main medication compartment, the operator can initiate a line without exposing or disturbing the full drug inventory. This design enforces protocol sequencing and reduces the risk of contamination or disorganization during high-pressure interventions.

Readiness for this system requires a structured pre-shift inspection covering hardware integrity, pouch and cassette security, inventory and expiration audit, controlled substance seal verification, and exterior cleanliness. Post-mission sustainment follows a four-step protocol: decontaminate, restock to full PAR levels, document all controlled substance use per DEA regulations, and report any hardware damage. A partially stocked or uninspected bag is not considered field-ready and must not be returned to service.

Field Application Steps

1. STAGE THE PACK: Place the G3+ Bolus on a stable, flat surface adjacent to the patient, clear of any contaminated areas. Fully unzip the main compartment zippers to open the pack into a clamshell configuration for complete visibility of the entire medication loadout.

2. INITIATE VASCULAR ACCESS: Open the front QuickZip panel without disturbing the main compartment. Retrieve the IV catheter, flush, extension set, and antiseptic supplies from the four lay-flat mesh pockets and establish an IV or IO line while your partner maintains CPR or other interventions.

3. IDENTIFY AND DETACH THE REQUIRED MEDICATION POUCH: Locate the appropriate drug class pouch on the center cassette, such as the Cardiac Meds pouch for a cardiac arrest scenario. Physically detach it from its hook-and-loop fastener and hand it to the provider assigned to draw up medications, creating a dedicated preparation workspace separate from the main pack.

4. CONFIRM ORDERS USING CLOSED-LOOP COMMUNICATION: Before any medication is administered, verbally confirm the drug name, dosage, and route with your partner per your service protocol. This step is not optional and must occur for every medication drawn.

5. EXECUTE CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE PROTOCOL: If controlled substances are required, retrieve the designated pouch and announce to your partner the specific medication being drawn and the dosage. This verbal declaration supports closed-loop communication and creates the foundation for accurate post-incident documentation.

6. CONDUCT POST-INCIDENT RECOVERY AND ACCOUNTABILITY: Retrieve all detached pouches and reseat them on the center cassette. Conduct a visual inventory of all medications and supplies used during the call.

7. DOCUMENT AND ACCOUNT FOR CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES: Verify that all controlled substance vials are physically accounted for. Document any waste immediately per your service protocol and all applicable DEA regulations before the pack is transported or restocked.

8. SECURE AND TRANSPORT: Confirm all zippers are fully closed and all pouches are reattached before moving the pack. Do not transport with an open or unsecured compartment.

9. EXECUTE POST-MISSION SUSTAINMENT: Decontaminate the exterior tarpaulin shell using a service-approved disinfectant such as CaviCide. Restock all used supplies and medications to full PAR levels before returning the pack to service. A partially stocked bag is not ready for deployment and must not be placed back on the unit.
