Quick Overview

The StatPacks G3+ Circulatory Kit is a modular rapid-deployment EMS bag system for intravenous fluid administration, used by EMT-Paramedics, Corpsmen, and Flight Medics to deliver rapid volume replacement in pre-hospital, tactical, and austere environments.

The G3+ Circulatory Kit is purpose-built around two delivery modes: gravity feed for standard rate infusion and pressure infusion for rapid volume replacement in hypovolemic shock. The Adjustable Cam-Lock Buckle Strap serves as the primary pressure infusion component, compressing the kit against the IV bag to accelerate flow rate without requiring a separate pressure cuff. The foam-lined main compartment accommodates a single fluid bag from 250ml to 1000ml, while the transparent urethane window allows continuous fluid type and volume monitoring without removing the bag from the kit.

Deployment readiness is built into the kit's physical design. The single-buckle closure enables one-handed access, the roll-up format exposes all contents immediately on a flat surface, and the reinforced top hanging loop supports suspension from an IV pole, vehicle hook, or improvised anchor. Internal elastic loops and pockets keep IV start kits, catheters, saline flushes, and administration sets co-located with the fluid bag, eliminating search time during a time-critical intervention.

The kit integrates into larger StatPacks G3+ medical packs or deploys standalone. After operational use, decontamination per bloodborne pathogen protocols is required, and a full inspection and inventory check should be conducted quarterly. All IV cannulation and fluid administration performed with this system are Advanced Life Support procedures requiring certified, authorized personnel operating under established medical protocols.

Field Application Steps

1. KIT DEPLOYMENT AND ACCESS: Remove the G3+ Circulatory Kit from the main pack or carry position and actuate the single-buckle closure with one hand. Unroll the kit flat on a stable surface such as the patient's side, thigh, or a ground cloth to expose all contents immediately.

2. FLUID AND SUPPLY SELECTION: Identify and select the correct fluid bag by reading through the transparent urethane window without removing the bag. Pull the appropriate administration set and IV catheter from the internal elastic loops and organizer pockets.

3. IV SUPPLY PREPARATION: Spike the IV bag and prime the administration set tubing completely to eliminate all air from the line. Prepare the IV catheter for insertion per your training and local medical protocol.

4. IV ACCESS ESTABLISHMENT: Establish IV access on the patient per medical protocol and connect the primed administration set to the patient's IV access point. Confirm patency before initiating flow.

5. GRAVITY FEED INFUSION (STANDARD RATE): Use the reinforced top hanging loop to suspend the kit from a suitable high point such as an IV pole, vehicle hook, or improvised anchor. Open the roller clamp and adjust to the prescribed drip rate.

6. PRESSURE INFUSION ACTIVATION (RAPID RATE): Ensure the roller clamp is fully open, then firmly grasp the loose end of the Adjustable Cam-Lock Buckle Strap. Pull the strap away from the buckle to cinch the kit tightly against the IV bag; the cam-lock mechanism holds tension without requiring continuous manual pressure.

7. FLOW RATE MANAGEMENT: Tighten the cam-lock strap incrementally until the desired flow rate is achieved. Monitor the drip chamber for a continuous stream confirming pressurized delivery. Do not over-tighten; no pressure gauge is present and excessive compression can rupture the IV bag.

8. CONTINUOUS MONITORING: Maintain constant visual monitoring of the IV access site for signs of infiltration throughout pressurized delivery. Simultaneously monitor the fluid bag through the transparent window for signs of stress or leakage and adjust or release pressure immediately if either is observed.

9. POST-USE DECONTAMINATION AND RESTOCK: After operational use, decontaminate the kit per your service or agency bloodborne pathogen protocols. Replace all used or expired supplies, place a new full IV bag into the main compartment, and re-stow per the roll-up procedure before returning the kit to a ready state.
