Quick Overview

The StatPacks G3+ Foldaway Pharmacy Kit is a high-capacity, soft-sided medication organization module used by paramedics, nurses, and physicians to maintain rapid, organized access to a comprehensive pharmaceutical inventory across high-acuity EMS, critical care transport, and mass casualty operations.

The G3+ Foldaway deploys via a quad-fold, four-panel layout that unfolds sequentially to expose the entire medication loadout simultaneously. Mono-mesh pockets provide immediate visual identification of drug names, concentrations, and expiration dates without opening a compartment, a critical capability when seconds determine patient outcomes. The module measures 6 inches high by 11 inches wide by 7 inches deep, integrating seamlessly into any StatPacks G3+ series medic pack while also functioning as a standalone drug box. Semi-rigid foam lining and chemical-resistant exterior fabric protect fragile glass vials and ampoules during vehicle transport and on-scene movement.

Readiness sustainment is a non-negotiable operational requirement for this module. Pre-shift inspection covers structural integrity of all seams, zippers, and mono-mesh, cleanliness verification, and confirmation that all pockets are secured. Expiration dates must be checked at every audit cycle, with expired medications removed and replaced immediately. Lot numbers for all pharmaceuticals require logged tracking to support recall procedures. Following any call where supplies are consumed, the kit must be fully restocked before the unit is returned to service, with no exceptions permitted.

Decontamination protocol requires full content removal, surface wipe-down with an approved hospital-grade disinfectant or virucide such as Sani-Cloth or CaviWipes per manufacturer contact time specifications, complete air drying, and inspection of all contents before restocking. Gross biohazardous contamination requires immediate removal from service for full agency-protocol decontamination. The chemical-resistant exterior fabric is engineered specifically to withstand this decontamination cycle and return to field-ready status.

Field Application Steps

1. STAGING AND PREP: Upon scene arrival, locate the G3+ Foldaway Pharmacy Kit in the main compartment of the medic pack. Place the module on a stable, clean surface such as a cot, backboard, or clean tarp. Never place the kit on the ground, in fluids, or on an unstable surface.

2. DEPLOYMENT: Open the kit like a book to reveal the first two panels, then unfold the remaining two panels completely flat. Orient the fully deployed kit to provide clear, unobstructed access to all personnel working the scene.

3. VISUAL CONFIRMATION BEFORE RETRIEVAL: Before accessing any medication, visually confirm the drug name and concentration through the mono-mesh pocket. Do not retrieve any item until the label has been positively identified.

4. MED RETRIEVAL AND CROSS-CHECK: Retrieve the required item and immediately close the pocket securely if additional loose items remain inside. Cross-check the selected medication with a second provider whenever scene conditions allow.

5. STOWAGE AFTER USE: Return all items to their designated pockets and close all zippers before moving the kit. Re-fold the panels in reverse deployment order, closing each panel sequentially as the kit collapses back to its stored configuration.

6. USAGE REPORTING: Return the kit to the medic pack and report all medications used to the team leader before unit movement. This report supports documentation, controlled substance accountability, and post-call restocking.

7. POST-CALL RESTOCKING: After every call where any supply is consumed, restock the kit to its full inventory loadout before the unit is declared back in service. This step is a mandatory readiness requirement with no exceptions.

8. PRE-SHIFT INSPECTION: At the start of every shift, inspect all seams, zippers, and pulls for integrity, checking for any rips or tears in the fabric or mono-mesh. Verify the kit is free of dirt, dust, and fluid contamination from the previous shift, and confirm all pockets are zipped and contents are secure.

9. INVENTORY AUDIT AND EXPIRATION CHECK: Conduct a full inventory audit on the schedule required by your service, weekly at minimum, and after each use for controlled substances. Check expiration dates on every item, rotate stock nearing expiration to the front, and remove and replace expired medications immediately. Log lot numbers for all pharmaceuticals to support manufacturer recall procedures.

10. DECONTAMINATION: If the kit requires decontamination, remove all contents completely before beginning surface treatment. Wipe all interior and exterior surfaces with an approved hospital-grade disinfectant or virucide per manufacturer contact time instructions, allow the kit to air dry completely, and inspect all contents for damage or contamination before restocking.
