Quick Overview

The StatPacks G3+ Joule is a single-operator cardiac response backpack system designed for rapid AED deployment and full BLS/ACLS equipment transport by trained emergency responders operating in dynamic, high-distance environments.

The G3+ Joule consolidates all critical cardiac arrest response tools into one mobile, hands-free platform. Its foam-lined main compartment protects the AED during chaotic transit, while the clamshell zipper pathway allows the pack to open completely flat, creating an immediately accessible workspace with all modules simultaneously visible. The clear mono-mesh front panel aligns directly with the AED status indicator light, enabling visual readiness confirmation without opening the pack. Internal securing straps anchor the AED against shift during running or rapid movement.

The system is built for deployment across four operational profiles: event medical teams at concerts and sporting events, industrial ERT personnel in large manufacturing or refinery sites, campus code teams covering large areas, and search and rescue operators transporting AEDs into remote environments. The padded, contoured shoulder straps enable hands-free carry over extended distances, keeping the operator's hands free for doors, handrails, and secondary equipment. The 27.8L internal volume accommodates a BVM, suction unit, spare adult and pediatric defibrillation pads, and modular kits for airway management or circulatory access.

Operator readiness depends on consistent inspection protocols at two intervals. Daily checks require visual confirmation of the AED status indicator through the front panel. Weekly full inspections include unloading all contents, verifying consumable expiration dates, inspecting pack hardware, cleaning interior and exterior surfaces, and reloading to a standardized layout with documented corrective actions. After every operational use, the pack must be considered out-of-service until fully decontaminated, restocked, inspected, and documented.

Field Application Steps

1. PRE-DEPLOYMENT STAGING: Secure the AED in the main compartment using the internal straps or custom inserts to prevent shift during movement. Pack support equipment in a logical, standardized layout, placing BVM and airway adjuncts in one section and IV/IO materials in another.

2. CONFIRM READINESS: Inspect the AED status indicator through the clear mono-mesh front panel without opening the pack. Confirm a positive readiness indication such as a green flashing light before donning the system.

3. VERIFY ZIPPER CLOSURE: Check that all zippers are fully closed and that pull-tabs are staged and accessible for rapid one-motion opening on arrival at the scene.

4. DON THE BACKPACK: Using both shoulder straps, don the pack and adjust for a snug, secure fit. Confirm hands-free posture before beginning movement to the casualty location.

5. TRANSIT TO SCENE: Maintain hands-free movement throughout response. Keep hands available to open doors, use handrails, or carry secondary equipment such as an oxygen cylinder. Do not carry the pack by the top grab handle during extended transit distances.

6. ON-SCENE PLACEMENT: On arrival, place the pack near the patient's upper torso. Pull the zipper pulls in one continuous perimeter motion to open the pack completely flat, creating a full-access workspace.

7. DEPLOY THE AED: Remove the AED immediately from the main compartment. Power on the device and apply defibrillation pads per your service's ACLS/BLS protocol without delay.

8. DEPLOY SUPPORT EQUIPMENT: As additional team members arrive, direct access to the staged BVM, airway adjuncts, and modular kits from the fully exposed interior. Assign equipment responsibilities to incoming personnel per your team's protocol.

9. POST-MISSION SUSTAINMENT: After every operational use, remove the pack from service immediately. Decontaminate any blood or bodily fluids per your service's bloodborne pathogen protocols before handling contents.

10. RESTOCK AND INSPECT: Replace every item used, including all single-use items such as gloves and prep pads. Inspect the AED per manufacturer and local protocol. Check pack hardware for rips, frayed stitching, and damaged zippers or buckles.

11. CLEAN AND RELOAD: Wipe the exterior and interior with a disinfectant-safe cleaner per your service's infection control policy. Allow the pack to air dry completely before reloading to the standardized layout.

12. DOCUMENT AND RETURN TO SERVICE: Record the return to service and any corrective actions taken in the equipment log. The pack is not field-ready until this step is complete.
