Quick Overview

The StatPacks G3+ Medic is a 49-liter high-capacity EMS bag designed to carry a full ALS and BLS loadout for multi-provider medical teams responding to multi-casualty incidents, rural emergencies, and primary fire apparatus deployment.

The G3+ Medic is built around three operational functions: transport, rapid deployment, and organized access under stress. The padded shoulder straps and reinforced grab handles allow hands-free movement to the treatment area, while the rugged Stand-Strong base keeps the pack upright and protected from ground-level contaminants including water, mud, and body fluids. The Quick-Pull handle integrates directly with the main compartment zippers, enabling a single forceful motion to open the pack without fine-motor zipper manipulation in high-stress conditions.

Internal organization is structured to support multi-provider simultaneous access. The main compartment houses mission-critical ALS equipment including O2 modules, cardiac monitors, and airway cells. Two flanking wing pockets carry secondary and tertiary supplies such as dressings, tourniquets, splinting, and BLS equipment. The Velcro loop interior secures G3+ Cell modules directly to pack walls to prevent shifting during transit and establish a consistent, predictable loadout across every deployment.

This is a non-stocked platform. The end-user agency populates the pack according to established medical protocols, and all contents must match the operator's certified scope of practice. Post-mission readiness requires immediate restocking, decontamination after any exposure to blood or bodily fluids, and zipper reset to the Quick-Pull position before the pack returns to service.

Field Application Steps

1. TRANSPORT TO THE TREATMENT AREA: Don the shoulder straps and carry the G3+ Medic backpack-style to the designated treatment area, keeping both hands free for secondary equipment such as a backboard or radio.

2. STAGE THE PACK: Place the pack on its Stand-Strong base in an upright position. Orient the front logo side toward the primary provider to ensure consistent, predictable access.

3. EXECUTE THE QUICK-PULL OPEN: Firmly grasp the red Quick-Pull handle on the main compartment lid. Pull upward and away from the pack in one continuous, forceful motion to open the main compartment without fine-motor zipper manipulation.

4. DEPLOY FULL-SPREAD LAYOUT: Unfold the lid and both wings completely until the pack lies flat, exposing the central main bay and two wing pockets. This creates a deconflicted, multi-provider workspace comparable to a surgical tray.

5. ASSIGN PROVIDER ROLES: Direct the primary provider to work from the main compartment, accessing the O2 module, airway kit, and cardiac monitor or AED as dictated by patient assessment. Assign secondary providers to the left and right wing pockets to simultaneously manage trauma dressings, tourniquets, and bandaging supplies.

6. DEPLOY MODULAR CELLS AS NEEDED: If G3+ Cells are loaded, remove only the specific cell required for the immediate intervention, such as the G3+ IV Cell, and bring it to the patient's side. Leave all remaining cells secured in the pack and ready for subsequent interventions.

7. REPACK AND RESET ZIPPERS: After the mission, restock all used supplies immediately to return the pack to 100% mission-ready state. Critically, ensure the two main compartment zippers are correctly staged and aligned at the base of the Quick-Pull handle before the pack returns to service. Failure to reset zipper position will render the Quick-Pull non-functional on the next deployment.

8. DECONTAMINATE AS REQUIRED: If the pack exterior or interior was exposed to blood or bodily fluids, remove the pack from service and decontaminate per agency biohazard and infection control protocols. The impregnated Stand-Strong base and exterior surfaces can be wiped with standard medical-grade disinfectants. Allow the pack to fully air-dry before closing and storing if it has become wet.

9. CONDUCT PRE-DEPLOYMENT INSPECTION EACH SHIFT: At the start of every shift, visually inspect all straps, buckles, handles, and the Stand-Strong base for damage. Open and close every zipper to confirm smooth operation. Open the pack and verify the presence, security, and expiration status of all modular cells and supplies.

10. PERFORM PERIODIC DEEP MAINTENANCE: On a scheduled quarterly basis, completely empty the pack of all contents. Clean the interior and exterior thoroughly, conduct a full inventory, and check low-frequency items for approaching expiration dates to ensure rarely accessed compartments meet the same readiness standard as primary mission equipment.
