Quick Overview

The StatPacks G3+ Medicine Cell is a crush-resistant, modular medication storage unit designed for secure organization and rapid field deployment of glass vials, ampoules, and pre-filled syringes by credentialed EMS and tactical medical personnel.

The Medicine Cell serves three core operational functions: secure storage, rapid identification, and immediate deployment readiness. Its crush-resistant construction protects fragile glass vials and ampoules from breakage during transport across pre-hospital, tactical, and transport environments. By physically separating medications from general equipment, it prevents cross-contamination and eliminates fumbling during time-critical patient care interventions.

Authorized users of this module include Advanced Life Support Paramedics, Flight Medics, Critical Care Transport Providers, and Tactical Medics. The cell is designed as the primary organizational unit for drug kits and integrates directly with StatPacks G3+ and G4 series backpack systems. Deployment is intended exclusively for personnel operating within their certified scope of practice and in accordance with local, state, and national protocols.

This SOP governs component familiarization, deployment procedures, safety limitations, and sustainment protocols. It does not provide medical guidance or medication administration protocols of any kind. All pharmacological decisions remain the responsibility of the credentialed operator and their governing medical authority.

Field Application Steps

1. VERIFY AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL STATUS: Confirm that the operator deploying the Medicine Cell holds a current credential as an ALS Paramedic, Flight Medic, Critical Care Transport Provider, or Tactical Medic. Deployment by uncredentialed personnel is outside the intended use of this module.

2. CONFIRM INTEGRATION WITH HOST PACK: Ensure the Medicine Cell is properly seated and secured within a compatible StatPacks G3+ or G4 series backpack system before field operations begin. Loose or unsecured cells compromise both medication protection and access speed.

3. INSPECT CELL INTEGRITY: Examine the crush-resistant shell for cracks, deformation, or closure failures prior to every operational period. A compromised cell cannot guarantee protection for glass vials and ampoules during transport.

4. VERIFY MEDICATION CONTENTS: Confirm that all glass vials, ampoules, and pre-filled syringes housed within the cell are correctly identified, undamaged, and within their expiration dates. Rapid identification during patient care depends on consistent, accurate loading at the sustainment stage.

5. CONFIRM PROTOCOL ALIGNMENT: Before deployment, verify that all medications loaded in the cell are authorized under your local, state, and national protocols and fall within your certified scope of practice. This step is non-negotiable and must occur prior to every operational deployment.

6. DEPLOY FOR PATIENT CARE ACCESS: Access the Medicine Cell during patient care interventions to rapidly identify and retrieve the required pharmacological agent. The organizational design of the cell is intended to eliminate search time under pressure.

7. CONDUCT POST-DEPLOYMENT SUSTAINMENT CHECK: Following any patient care event, inspect the cell for breakage, contamination, or depleted medications. Restock and re-inspect before returning the system to a field-ready status.
