The Emergency Zone Ultralight 2-Person Compact Dome Tent puts an actual tent in your bug-out bag for the night that calls for real shelter. At 2 lb 12 oz and packed to 22" x 5" x 3" in its carrying case, it adds little weight or bulk to a survival kit or hiking pack. Set up, it gives two people a 74" x 47" footprint and 42" of height.

Why it works:

  • Light on the pack: You carry shelter without feeling much added weight. The tent weighs 2 lb 12 oz.
  • Stows small: It packs alongside the rest of your gear and is easy to store. In its carrying case it measures 22" x 5" x 3".
  • Fresh air inside: The tent stays comfortable with air moving through it. Breathable mesh vents help keep air circulating.
  • Rain fly on your terms: You choose between airflow and keeping rain out. The removable rain fly comes off for ventilation and goes on to keep water from coming in.
  • Warm air has a way out: The dome shape encourages heat to rise to the center and out the rain fly.

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I use the rain fly?▸

Put it on to keep water from coming in, and take it off when you do not need it so the tent can ventilate.

Will it fit in my bug-out bag?▸

It is compact enough to include in a bug-out bag, survival kit or hiking pack. In its carrying case it packs to 22" x 5" x 3" and weighs 2 lb 12 oz.

How does the tent handle airflow?▸

Breathable mesh vents help air circulate, and the dome shape encourages heat to rise to the center and out the rain fly. Take the rain fly off when you want more ventilation.

Love It

For the price you can't beat it. It's very easy to put up and take down and lightweight. I don't know how water resistant it is but it seems overall pretty sturdy. I was able to easily attach it to my camping/hiking/bugout bag.
