Five Tourniquets, One Order
In a traumatic emergency, severe blood loss from an extremity can be fatal in minutes. The Dynarex DynaSafety Trauma2 Tourniquet is a windlass device built to occlude blood flow in the upper and lower extremities during acute hemorrhage. Whether the cause is a machinery accident, a gunshot wound, or a severe laceration, it provides the mechanical advantage needed when direct pressure is not enough. It ships five units to a pack, which is how trauma kits are actually provisioned.
The Trauma2 uses a one-handed operation design, allowing a victim to apply the device to their own arm or leg if isolated. The windlass rod system twists to tighten the band, and the locking mechanism secures the rod at every 90 degree rotation so pressure holds during transport. The integrated time stamp strap lets a responder record when the tourniquet was applied, a vital data point for the receiving surgeon.
Pack Configuration
Each pack contains five complete tourniquets, each with its own instructions for use.
Key Features
Why It Matters
Massive hemorrhage is a leading cause of preventable death in trauma, and windlass tourniquets are widely used for extremity bleeds in both prehospital and tactical medicine. A tourniquet is also single-application equipment in practice. Once one is deployed on a patient, it leaves with that patient, which is why kits are stocked in multiples rather than singly.
