The Rothco Convertible Medium Transport Pack switches from a backpack to a single sling for the moments you need gear without putting the bag down. On a hike, a bike ride or a crowded transit commute, zip the 2 inch shoulder straps together, unbuckle one side and wear it crossbody. Your items stay close to your body and easy to reach. With 25 liters of space and three extra zippered compartments, it handles clothing, outdoor gear and everyday items.

Why it works:

  • Reach gear while on the move: Sling mode gives quick access to your items without setting the pack down, and converting takes only zipping the straps together and unbuckling one side.
  • Room for a full day out: The 25 liter pack measures 17 x 10 x 9 inches overall, and its main rear compartment has a zippered pouch and a mesh pocket for clothing, emergency supplies and outdoor gear.
  • Small items sorted: Three additional zippered compartments with internal pockets keep everyday carry items and electronic accessories apart from the main load.
  • Expand the load: PALS webbing on the outside mounts and secures additional items, and a rear hook and loop compartment holds a hydration system (not included).
  • Comfortable and built tough: Breathable mesh padding lines the back and adjustable shoulder straps, and the 600D polyester build uses heavy-duty zippers with water-repellent lining in the storage compartments.

Who it's built for:

Made for the commuter or day hiker who wants one pack that also works as a sling.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I convert it to sling mode?▸

Zip the 2 inch shoulder straps together and unbuckle one side. The extra webbing slack stores in one of the zippered pockets, and the pack then wears over your shoulder or crossbody.

Does it include a hydration bladder?▸

No. A rear hook and loop compartment is designed to hold a hydration system, which is sold separately.

Does sling mode work on either shoulder?▸

Yes. The pack converts to an ambidextrous single sling, so you can wear it over either shoulder or as a crossbody bag.

Can agencies and departments order the Rothco Convertible Medium Transport Pack with a purchase order?▸

Yes. Luminary Global is an SDVOSB and WOSB. We accept purchase orders and GPC for agency and department orders, and offer volume quotes.
