The Mayday Professional Rescue Kit - The Element equips a small volunteer or workplace rescue team for the stretch before help arrives. After a disaster, responders can take time to reach every site, so this kit brings four sets of hard hats, eye goggles and gloves, then backs them with a 30" pry bar, an 18" bow camp saw and a 440 lb test steel pulley. The entire kit is packaged in a carry anywhere duffle bag, with a medium roll bag included.

Why it works:

  • Four rescuers protected from the start: Each team member gets a hard hat, eye goggles, a pair of leather gloves and a pair of nitrile gloves, plus 12 ear loop dust masks.
  • Debris cleared and cut: Pry, cut and dig with the 30" pry bar, 18" bow camp saw, 10" vise grip, utility knife and folding shovel.
  • Lines rigged and the scene cordoned: Set up lines and a perimeter with the 440 lb test steel pulley, 50' yellow nylon cord and 300' barricade tape.
  • Informed and visible after dark: Stay on top of conditions with "The Element" NOAA/Solar/Dynamo radio, two Mayday 3 LED "D" flashlights, ten light sticks and four whistles.
  • One bag to the site: The entire kit packs in a carry anywhere duffle bag, and the included medium roll bag gives the team a second bag for gear.
