Quick Overview

This is a military-grade lensatic compass designed for high-stakes land navigation in all environmental conditions. Its primary advantages are extreme durability and self-luminous tritium vials, which enable reliable day and night use without batteries or any external power source.

Field Application Steps

  1. Secure the compass using the thumb loop and raise it to eye level, creating a firm compass-to-cheek hold.
  2. Align the target landmark in the rear sight slot with the front sighting wire to establish a precise sight picture.
  3. While holding the sight picture, glance down through the magnifying lens to read the exact magnetic azimuth on the dial's red (degrees) or black (mils) scale.
  4. For night use, align the front glowing tritium dot between the two rear glowing tritium dots on your target.
  5. To follow a bearing, set the bezel to the desired azimuth, hold the compass level at your center, and turn your body until the north arrow is under the bezel's index line.
